Johnson Electric plans in Nis new 2,400 jobs. In one year time, the company will employ a thousand people, and by 2020 a total of 3,400. It was announced by Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic in Nis, after Economy Minister Zeljko Sertic and representatives "Johnson Electric" signed the Memorandum of Understanding, which it defines. The event was attended by the president of Palilula Municipality Boban Džunić.

A year and a half after the company built a factory in Nis, "Johnson Electric" will expand production by building a new plant. To this, as they say, have affected good cooperation with the Government and local government, but also high quality and valuable workforce. Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said that by the end of this year to do here 582 people, and by the middle of next - a total of 1,000. For two years will, he says, this will be the largest factory in the country.

"The figure of 3,400 people is final, and this will be the most important factory for us. I am pleased that the Government of Serbia took part, we have given so far 6.750.000 Euros, and this money we did not throw away, "said Vucic. The company that manufactures electric motors pledged that in the next five years in Nis invests 50 million and provide jobs for another 2,400 people. Everything is made official by the Memorandum of Understanding, which was in Nis company signed by Minister of Economy Zeljko Sertic and company representatives. "I'm glad you're talking about phase 2 of our investment project, which will be larger also according to the number of new workers, and the technology that we want to implement here," said the vice president Johnson Electric" for Europe Austin Wang. Cooperation between the Government and the "Johnson Electric" is a proof that the government wants to invest in this part of Serbia, said Mayor of Nis Zoran Perisic.

"Johnson Electric" operates in the building of 10,000 square meters, near Nis airport. It currently has 365 employees.
